The Barn

West House Barn is a former stable and barn that has recently been converted into a self-contained guest house providing accommodation for up to 4 people.

Designed to an open plan layout, it offers all modern amenities, including a fully-fitted kitchen, whilst retaining it’s period charm of ancient brickwork and oak beams.

On entering the property through a stable door there is a fitted and well equipped kitchen with  hob, oven, fridge and microwave, as well as a dishwasher.

Also on the ground floor is a dining area with a formal dining table seating 4, and additionally 3 places at the breakfast bar.  This leads through to a spacious lounge with comfortable seating around a wood burner.


Both the dining area and lounge have double doors with direct access onto the drive and outside seating area.

Upstairs, the open plan theme continues, and the space is divided into two sleeping areas to either side  of the stairs, each of which sleeps two people.

The northern eaves of the barn features a double bed, while the southern end has two single beds.





A bathroom with both a bathtub and shower occupies the central space between the two sleeping areas.



The barn is fronted by an outside seating area and a large gated drive,  offering secure parking for several vehicles.

The entire grounds are surrounded by high stone and brick walls that provide plenty of privacy and security, but still leave a view of West House gardens and the neighbouring oast house.

For vehicles requiring additional protection, there is a separate garage, but please note that use of this is not included in the guest house rent, and subject to separate arrangements, depending on availability.
